Visa holders as well as sponsors of visa holders are subject to strict compliance and visa conditions. Breach of these conditions may result in cancellation of a visa, cancellation of a sponsorship approval, a ban from making further visa applications, a ban from sponsoring employees and criminal penalties such as fines and/or imprisonment.

The Department of Home Affairs (Department) regularly audits employer sponsors in relation to whether they are continuing to meet their sponsorship obligations. Our firm regularly assists employer sponsors with responses to adverse information and notices of intention to take action issued by the Department.
